DisplayPort Cables

DisplayPort is a new digital display interface standard put forth by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). DisplayPort will be the next generation digital interface designed to replace VGA, LVDS and DVI. With a unified internal and external display interface it addresses emerging PC requirement with reduced complexity and scalable performance in terms of resolution, color depth and refresh rate over fewer wires.

Features

Technology: DisplayPort consists of 4 main links, one Auxiliary channel and one Hot-plug signal line.

Main Link: AC-coupled, doubly terminated differential pairs (lanes) with a Rate of 2.7Gbps giving a capacity of 10.8Gbps per 4 lanes.

DisplayPort Content Protection: DPCO provides AES type high speed 128-bit content encryption with secure modern ciphers.

DP Power: With more than 1.5W both on source and sink, connector powered dongles are possible at both ends.

Cable Assembly: Support for full bandwidth over 3 meter of cable, and a max of 1080p resolution at 24bpp, 50/60Hz over a 15 meter cable.
